Firefighters south of Nanaimo battled wind and drought conditions, as they extinguished a wildfire sparked on a Christmas tree farm Monday night. Despite air support and three departments rapidly attacking it, the dry conditions fuelled the flames to consume an estimated 800 to 1,000 trees. Skye Ryan reports.
