Now that Para Tip Transparency no longer works how it used to, I thought it would help to give a guide on how I dissect and select order from my two main apps, DoorDash and Uber Eats. It is important to know which orders to accept and which ones to decline, considering there could be hidden tips on practically any order. DoorDash has made it more difficult for us in the recent past, but that does not mean we aren't able to earn a good amount of money.
When selecting orders, it is always important to look at the total payout and the total driving distance. This has always been true, but now more than ever, we must look at all of the information given to us on the acceptance screen. The information we must view is the amount of items, estimated time to complete the order, and the drop-off location. It may take more effort than before, but I truly believe delivery driving as a independent contractor is still worthwhile.
