The financial experts that track VA disability rates have increased their projections to 5.3% for 2022. A month ago, VA disability rates in 2022 were projected to come in at 4.7% but the financial experts that I follow are predicted that number to continue to go up. The difference between 4.7% and 5.3% is over a half percent higher than it was a month ago.
To put this in perspective for you, in 2021 the cost of living for veterans benefits was only 1.3% which was one of the weakest increases that veterans have seen in years. This latest projection is almost half of our entire raise for last year.
