WHEN TO USE “WOULD HAVE”
“Would have” without a past participle (see below) is simply the conditional tense, plus the verb “to have.” It is used to express an unreal or untrue idea, that would or could be true if something else were true.

WHEN TO USE “SHOULD HAVE”
“Should have” is used to show past advice which has not been done by subject


WHEN TO USE “COULD HAVE”
“Could have” is used to show past action which did not happen in past but i have an ability to do but i didnot do.


1.I would have done it if I knew I had to.”
2.“He would have been more careful with it if he knew it was so fragile.”
3.“She would have never eaten that crayfish if she knew that she were allergic.”* It is correct so say “if she knew that she were allergic,” but often native speakers say “if she knew that she was allergic.”

Remember, you can use the concise version “I’d”, “they’d”, “we’d” and so on, for a more casual and natural-sounding English way of speaking.

1.“I’d have bought those for you had I known you had been looking f0r them!”
2.” They’d have taken the train if they had known it would be much faster.”
3.“I’d have walked instead if I had known the traffic would be this horrible!”
4.“If I had known she was not coming, I’d have skipped this soiree.”
5.“If the timing was right, we’d have scheduled that trip.”

example of should have:-
You should have gone to bed earlier.
I shouldn’t have said that.
I shouldn’t have drunk so much.
He should have scored there.
I shouldn’t have bought that jacket.


examples of could have:-
Could Have
Could have is used to talk about something that was or wasn’t possible in the past.

You could have bought the cheaper jacket, it looked great on you.
Ben couldn’t have known about the promotion, I haven’t told anyone yet!
We also use could have to say that we were capable of doing something but we didn’t.

The boy could have run away from the bullies, but he decided to confront them. or
I couldn’t have done that to him, he is my best friend after all.
Could have is often used with a tone of criticism.

You could have just been honest with me.
It is also used for speculations about things that didn’t happen.
