Nawab's Bungalow || Arundhati Fort || An enthralling structure || Kurnool || Andhra Pradesh

Banagana Palli is a town in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India. It lies in Kurnool district, 70 km south of the town of Kurnool. In 1601, Sultan Ismail Adil Shah of Bijapur conquered the fortress of Banganapalle from Raja Nanda Chakravarthy. The fort and surrounding districts were placed under the control of his victorious general, Siddhu Sumbal, who held them until 1665.

The dates of the fort's construction are vague, but history begins the story from the 17th century.

Banaganapalli Fort is an enthralling structure in the town of Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh. ... It served as the ruling throne for the clan of the Nawabs of Kurnool. It was constructed in the 18th century and to date, it has undergone many renovations.

Nawab Bungalow (Summer Palace), Pathapadu Village:

The Nawab of Banganapalle was the leader of Banganapalle, a fief of the Mughal empire which later became a princely state of British India, before being incorporated into the Kurnool district of the Madras Presidency.


The Pathapadu Bungalow which was used as a rest house during summer was constructed by Mirfazal Ali Khan in 1908. The summer palace is constructed with limestone. The buildings are also constructed with limestone available in the nearby areas. Actually, the building is due to its attractions a place for shooting location for the film industry. It is a place of visit on the way to Yaganti Kshetram. On the way to the Yaganti famous temple, the Nawab Bungalow is attracting most of the tourists towards its historical and heritage values.
