Speed of 94 thousand kilometers per hour

1.4 kilometere wide object

Once in a lifetime event

Yes, that's what is going to happen tonite, when an Asteroid named AJ193 will pass the Earth...This object will be cruising at a massive speed of 94 thousand 208 kilometres per hour. It has been classified as "potentially hazardous" by NASA but its experts have already expect no harm to earth this time as it will be too far.

But tonight, scientists all over the world will be watching this once in a lifetime event from far.

This asteroid orbits around the Sun every 5.9 years, as it gets relatively close to Earth’s orbit but then travels beyond the orbit of Jupiter.

Tonight's flyby will be this asteroid’s closest approach to Earth so far.

As per NASA, an asteroid is classified as a near-Earth object when its distance from our planet is less than 1.3 times the distance from Earth to the Sun, which is about 93 million miles.

Next time this Asteroid will pass earth, will be only in 2063, I don't want to be around for that long...do you?
