The public blockchain, as the name suggests, is literally "public". It refers to a consensus blockchain that is open to everyone in the world. Anyone can read the data, send transactions, and the transactions can be effectively confirmed.
Private blockchain, which is also known as the proprietary blockchain, is a non-public "chain". Generally, authorization is required to join a node. Moreover, the editing permissions of each node in the private chain are strictly controlled, and the reading permissions can be selectively opened based on needs.
Consortium blockchain refers to a blockchain that multiple organizations jointly manage. Each organization or institution manages one or more nodes, and its data only allows different institutions in the system to read, write and send.
