👉 What Is A VPN Connection - Not familiar with what and how a VPN connection works? Well, in this video I explain the basics so that you will be a lot more familiar with the subject.
How's it going everybody? Welcome back. And if you're new to VPNs, and perhaps you're not familiar with how a VPN connection works. Today, hopefully I can briefly explain that in this short video on how a VPN connection works and how to connect to a VPN. So let's get straight into it. But before we start, if at any point you're interested in checking these VPNs, checking, perhaps the reviews for reviews or links to special deals and updated pricing, you'll find everything you need in the description down below. Now, for starters, to understand how a VPN works, it helps to first understand your internet connection, without one without a VPN. So when you access a website, without a VPN, you're being connected to that site through your internet service provider or ISP, the ISP assigns you a unique IP address that can be used to identify you to the website. And because your ISP is handling and directing all your traffic, it can see which websites you visit and your activity can be linked to by that unique IP address. Now, when you connect to the internet with a VPN, the VPN application on your device, also called also called a VPN client establishes a secure connection with a VPN server, your traffic still passes through your ISP, but your ISP can no longer read it or see its final destination, the websites you visit can no longer see your original IP address, only the IP address of the server of the VPN server which is shared by many other users and changes regularly. So I wanted to this this little chart here actually by Wait a minute, this right here by ExpressVPN on their on their blog. This explains perfectly how a VPN connection works. So this is you. And this is the internet. And when you connect to the internet, you're connecting straight from your device all the way to the internet, of course through your ISP servers. And that leaves you kind of, of course, nothing is deep, nothing is encrypted, nothing is secured one when you're connecting without a VPN. And so that leaves you vulnerable to prying eyes. However, when you connect to a VPN, you're essentially using a secured server that is taken care of by your VPN provider encrypted and secured, which, of course, this establishes a tunnel between you and the internet. So that nothing can really kind of intrude on your traffic or get to know whatever you're doing. While you're online, you know, beat a government hacker or your ISP in the first place. Because as far as your ISP is concerned, your IP address is not doing anything, because you're using a different IP address. And I'm going to show you guys in just a second how that works. In the meantime, I'm going to connect to France here, just so that my real IP address doesn't show on what is my IP address, COMM And I'm gonna show you guys that I'm going to appear as if I'm in France. So essentially, this VPN tunnel, scrambles your data and encrypts it so that it is no longer readable. And the only way for hackers so to say to get access to this tunnel is if they get the key, the key to unlock such tunnel. And that can only work if your VPN provider cooperates with hackers, which is, of course, highly unlikely. So it's really as simple as that that's, I think, as simple as an explanation can get for what a VPN is. And now I'm going to show you guys that I am indeed, as far as what is my IP address is concerned, as far as anyone is concerned, really. Thank you guys very much for watching and I'll see you guys in the next one. Have a wonderful day.
