Also watch our other tour of Whitby North Yorkshire here 👉 https://youtu.be/5QWHULTGEco

This 4K walk through the stunning town of Whitby starts up on the clifftop at Whitby Abbey and takes us down into the graveyard and churchyard of The Church Of St Mary which features in the novel of Bram Stoker's Dracula and where it a big focus of the Whitby Goth Weekend.

We head down the Whitby 199 Steps next which is one of Whitby's main tourist attractions and one of those things to do in Whitby when you come here. If you're looking for things to see in Whitby then the views from here are incredible, of the harbour, the seafront, the lighthouses, the pier, and the town as well as the rooftops of all the hotels and bed and breakfast buildings here in Whitby.

As you head down the 199 steps you come to the busy hustle and bustle of the town centre streets with it's shops, bars, restaurants and cafes. There's even a market in Market Place to buy yourself something new or bag a bargain!

Continuing this 4k Walk through this beautiful North Yorkshire town we make our way down Church Lane and Church Street before passing through Market Place and onto Sandgate which also has shops and jewellers and cafes you can have a bite to eat or something to drink.

Coming out of Sandgate we arrive at the famous Whitby Bridge, a fantastic swing bridge that opens up to allow boats and ships through into Whitby harbour. To stand and watch this happen is definitely on of the best things to do in Whitby, before you go and jump aboard one of the yellow boats or pirate ship boat trips that take you out to sea!

As we cross the swing bridge we turn onto St Ann's Staith and walk onto Haggersgate where you find the Dracula Experience for all you fans of Bram Stoker's Dracula!

We then find ourselves on Pier Road where another famous place sits, The famous Magpie Cafe which is said to be the best fish and chips in Whitby!

We pass the pleasureland and fun land amusement arcades and Khyber Pass and take a look at the pier and lighthouse before heading down to Battery Parade and along past the funfair and the fish and chips cafes and then down onto Whitby Beach, a lovely sandy seaside beach with donkey rides, and where you can paddle in the sea.

Whitby Beach really is terrific and a great place to just relax on your holiday, sitting on the seafront watching people have a great day trip or extended break and most definitely one of the best things to see in Whitby.
