Is there a connection between a person’s life style (the result of being a loner, the sigma) and their behavior toward others. Loners are well known for their low interaction in social groups and therefore, will have more personal time. Many people likely use that personal time, and dedicate themselves to reading and learning more. They may also spend much more time rewarding the few friends they have, with more attention and loyalty. Still, many lone wolves may also do many other things with their time. Some spend incredible time passing the time with TV, video games, puzzles etc. Some take up hobbies that have nothing to do with people (pets and charity). There are so many things that loners do. Are some lone wolves sigmas more intellectual and loyal? Probably yes. Is there a trend we can use to label these type of loners? Perhaps not. Perhaps intellect and loyalty are traits we learn whether we are loners or socialites. The only label (if we must) is that they are loners and likely need more people to get to know them a bit. Perhaps, that is what we can do. Learn more about a person and maybe, they are just a small bit less of a lone wolf sigma. From another perspective, I would like to say that Being a loner does not make a person more intelligent, but being intelligent can increase the odds of becoming a loner. And actually, studies show that although most people feel happier and more satisfied with life, when they spend a lot of time socializing with other people. But these highly intelligent sigmas feel less satisfied with life when they spend a lot of time socializing. The reason for this discrepancy should be obvious if you think about it. If you are of average intelligence, you are part of a majority population. It’s easy for you to find other people in your community who are of similar IQ. So, it’s relatively easy for you to have fulfilling conversations with others and find others who share your interests. These relationships are easy and enjoyable, which helps you feel happy and satisfied with life. On the other hand, if you have an IQ at the very high end of the bell curve, you are part of a minority population. It’s very difficult to meet others who match your intellect. Since the majority of the population can’t fully grasp the depth of understanding that you have in your topics of interest, you are not able to have fulfilling conversations in most of your relationships. The more time you spend socializing with others, the more you realize that they don’t really understand what you’re talking about. You also feel bored by the topics they enjoy talking about. Then, you feel unhappy and less satisfied with life. But the more time you spend alone, reading, developing new theories and hypotheses, inventing new devices or ways of doing things, writing your thoughts down on paper, observing phenomena and analyzing statistics, the happier and more satisfied you feel with life. This is precisely why the sigmas, highly intelligent people become loners. When an individual is not surrounded by intellectual equals by the sheer luck of falling in the middle of the bell curve, the individual must become a loner or else risk depression and dissatisfaction with life. Loners are more able to focus on one thing and follow through with it. People try to distract each other during interaction. Interaction is about give and take. When you focus, you manage that differently. That said, the danger of lone wolf sigmas is that their work goes unseen. What good is any work that no one sees and no one knows about? There have been millions of writers, inventors, engineers, scientists who made great things that never became popular, and as a result were lost. It is possible that some problems that are being resolved today have already been resolved by lone wolves of this world. but no one ever found their work. You spend your whole life working on a theory of complexity and succeed. Then, one day you die in your lab alone. Boom! It's all gone. As good as it never happened. 10 years later, another scientist publishes a new solution for it and changes the whole field of science across the world. Which points to another fact.
