Join me on a solo wild camp in some local woodland where I test out a budget sleeping bag and inflatable air mattress. I wanted to see if these cheap sleep mats and bags are actually usable for warmer weather camping or if you’re better off just biting the bullet and investing more in better quality, insulated gear to start with.
My usual go-to sleep system consists of an Expet Synmat 7, an Ice Flame down quilt and a Trekology Aluft 2.0 pillow. In total these are around the £175 mark, so let’s see how a system that costs less than £50 compares!
