Back to the Rocks | Thulium 8c, Commented Climb by Adam Ondra

In the small mountains of Chřiby, there is an iconic sandstone free-standing tower called Kozel. Even though Czechia is famous for sandstone climbing, most traditional sands stone climbing is located in the northwest. In the eastern part of the Country, in Moravia, we have very little sandstone, but this tower is definitely a gem.

This last unsolved problem on Kozel has been there for many years. Perfectly sculpted rounded arete that looked too impossible to be climbed. Last weekend I decided to check it out. I found out there is nothing but really bad slopers, but after a bit of a fight, I could make the first ascent of Thulium 8c.
