New EverQuest or Remake Confirmed Amazon Involved Big News

A New EverQuest or EverQuest Remake or Reboot has been speculation for a long time now with very little in the way of proof, well now it is confirmed and shockingly, Amazon is getting involved in funding and hiring for a team. Let's dive straight in! Enjoy!
Because a new announcment, I'll have a link in the description down below insists that Amazon is developing a game with EverQuest developers. Now I did NOT say FORMER EverQuest developers, I said EverQuest developers as in Daybreak. Now when looking at this it's important to realize that Amazon is trying to put their hands deep in the pockets of multiple MMO projects, so let's take New World and set that to the side, because yes, EverQuest being the largest franchise Daybreak holds, and AMazon publishing at least one other MMO project in the west: Lost Ark is being published by Amazon Games. Now that's not what I want to talk about I have little interest in Lost Ark, but in EverQuest and the possiblity of a remake of the original which I would be MOST interested in, or a completely NEW EverQuest that sticks to some core MMO tenants like Pantheon Rise of the Fallen is doing would GREATLY interest me and obviously YOU if you are watching this video. So here is the news in a nutshell: Amazon has a listing implying that they are working an unknown free-to-play game for PC and consoles. It is listed as an undisclosed game produced by a team of experience developers form multiple successful titles including EverQuest. This implies Daybreak into the fold as THEY own the EverQuest franchise and are running it under a smaller umbrella known now as Darkpaw. Many will hear consoles and think EverQuest Online Adventures, which was the only EverQuest title released on consoles. And I think that is a fair assessment although I do believe it to be smarter to simply release a new title with a brand new name with EverQuest in it. Such as EverQuest Reborn or some such to imply it is new and not the old OG MMO that is already out.
Now in the job description they are looking for people with experience with the Unreal Engine, and I think that is key to the whole Remaking Everquest because things can be converted with smaller headaches into Unreal than with many other engines, so it's a pretty strong case as with my previous videos that I believe they are remaking the Original EverQuest, not all the expansions at first, but just the original game and zones within (perhaps even making it open world instead of zone based) with modern UI and with completely redone assets and graphics. Being that there is no experience like EverQuest had in the entireity of the MMO space, mild exceptions of course being Final Fantasy XI, and with Pantheon on it's way that is going to completely eat their lunch, I can't see Darkpaw giving completely up. Now, do they have the SKILL to challenge upcoming MMOs : That is the big question people always ask. Looking at what they have been doing for the past few years, it is a good question to ask. But should they reach out to Amazon, and now it looks like Amazon is onboard, now the skill or the amount of people to pull it off is out of the question. It is certainly possible.
Now of course this news makes me a bit upset, selfishly, why couldn't Amazon also fund Pantheon Rise of the Fallen? THere is more there in that indy studio that screams quality and excitement than what currently sits on the team at Daybreak in my opinion. BUT I DIGRESS, perhaps there is something moving there as well. But let's talk about the possibilities
