The Psalmist reflectively opined, "When I consider Your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have ordained, What is man that You are mindful of him…?"
And we also wonder with the writer, in the light of man's smallness… his vaporus existence… in spite of everything… Why?!
This is a great question! Yet in the face of our consternation, we realize that yes, God has indeed, favored us!
Yes, in spite of man's insignificance… his fallibility, his weakness both morally and physically, his state of decay and corruption (not even to mention his rebellion, pride, arrogance, and lack of wisdom)…
Why?! Why has God looked upon us with such favor?!
… yet, indeed, He has!
This week, as we continue into the book of Hebrews, we will consider how and why God has looked down upon us with such love, grace, and favor!
