Live: Honorable return – Remains of 88 Chinese volunteer soldiers come back home

Today, the remains of 88 Chinese People's Volunteer (CPV) soldiers who served in the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea (1950-1953 Korean War) return to China from the Republic of Korea (ROK).
In 1950, 72 years ago, a total of 2.9 million CPV soldiers crossed the Yalu River and fought in the battlefield at the request of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), and at least 197,653 of whom sacrificed their lives. It will be the ninth batch of repatriation following a handover agreement signed by the two countries in 2014. The remains of 825 soldiers have returned China from the ROK between 2014 and 2021 for eight consecutive years.
