One of the primary reasons Mark and I moved to Portugal from the US was because it is less expensive for us to live here in Lisbon, than it was in our hometown of San Diego, California. In this video we compare our April 2022 monthly expenses here in Lisbon Portugal with our February 2020 monthly expenses in San Diego.
After 2020, we reevaluated our priorities, and sought to live a less stressful life, albeit with less income. We are here on a monthly pension Mark receives as a result of his military service. While we miss many things about our life in San Diego, we would not trade the peace of mind and less stress we experience living on less income.
