EGLE’s Air Quality Division is holding an informational session followed by a public hearing on August 3, 2021 beginning at 6 p.m. Ajax Materials Corporation is proposing to construct and operate a new asphalt mixing plant at 5088 Energy Dr. in Flint, Michigan. The informational session will provide details on what Ajax is requesting including what equipment may be installed, what levels of air emissions are being requested and how EGLE would ensure any air permit, if issued, would follow all rules and regulations for the requested process.
The public is invited to attend the meeting to ask questions, and then, if desired provide comment on the proposed air permit. More information on this proposed permit may be found at Michigan.gov/Air, choose “Public Notice” and then “Permit to Install (PTI) Available for Comment”.
