Is soreness necessary for progress or not? Let's talk about this. Soreness is not necessary for progress in any kind of physical training. You may get soreness due to three factors:
1- Doing the exercise that is new to your body
2- Sudden increase in the Volume of workout (Increase in frequency can also cause soreness)
3- Doing eccentric (The part of movement in which your muscle lengthens) exercises
Don' worry if you are not getting sore from your workout. You can still progress.
